If you launch it properly (an art form in and of itself) you should have no problems. Side stepping the clutch at 6K RPM is what will give you problems. There should be no drivetrain problems at a 1.8 60 level launch. Its when you start getting into the low 1.6s high 1.5 then its a problem. A mild street launch is more than enough needed for alot of street cars.
