just remember combo is everything and think it thru on which way you want to go. Mid eighties before Fords even had much of a aftermarket in engine design we ran a 289, 12-1, 620 flat tappet crane, 351 windsor heads, twisted torker, 750 Dp, 5:13, nash 5 spd, slicks in Maverick 11:30's in 1/4 na. Back then the chevy guys swore we had nitrous on that lil car. lol. Now with maybe if we had some aftermarket heads who knows maybe 10's back then. oh yes around 7600-8200 for over 5 seasons and then sold the motor to a street racer who ran it for another couple of years. Choose your machine shop carefully and engine builder.
