i WOULD complain to charlie by all means if i had a turbo that had blown oil seals a month later, or had shaft end-play in excess of 8mm. ive seen 4 turbos, CT26's specifically, that charlie has had his hands on and have failed in one way or another;
IdealSupra 60-1 upgrade has leaky oil seals
Bucsfanatic 60-1 upgrade has leaky oil seals
Seminolesupra91 rebuild has failed thrust bearing on one and leaky oil seals on another.
the oldest one of these four turbos is probably 4 months old. but thanks for defending him, its only natural. im not hating on him, just the fact that more than ONE CT26 turbo that has been in his hands has failed. there is no law against stating the facts. im not making shit up here, its the truth. ive seen all of these turbos in question and have seen the CMR initials in the back plate. but seeing as how im not the Owner of these turbos, its not My place to take up the issue w/ charlie. if these WERE my turbos, youd better beleive id be on the phone w/ him trying to rectify this issue.
