1) Dont bother cryoing it. Maybe the flywheel but not the PP. As for the center diff...you have to take the top cover and then the 5th/rev. synchro out. Then pull the next cover off. It takes a skilled welder to weld up the diff. so make sure you get it done right. You could also just weld up the viscous coupling which is under the top cover and then you can swap it in and out (to unlock the drivetrain) in a matter of minutes.

2) Ive heard of several people doing this without pulling the engine or rebalancing. Its a major PITA to get the bearings where they need to be without removing the engine though. Advice: Pull the engine do it right and have it rebalanced.

3) Why not? Its not that much work to drop in the O2 eliminator. The manifold is more work but worth it. Advice: pick up 4 (yes 4) new turbo bolts and throw away the stud. Makes swapping the turbo possible without pulling the manifold again.
