I'm an import person, but i must say that subarus have a good middle ground in the imports vs. domestics dealy. Torquey, sweet sounding, badass off the line, handle great, relatively high revving, and still 4 cylinders.

As far as domestics, i like the low rumbling, the speed factor off the line usually, mod-ability...and you don't have to deal with kids saying JDM this and JDM that

As far as most imports....the overall build quality is usually a bit higher (i'm not talking economy cars here...*honda*), gas mileage is usually alot better, long term breakdowns are usually not as common than on some older domestics...and there are usually less mullet comments...
