What kind of RTV? Like I mentioned earlier, the "grey import gasket maker" they have at places like advance works great. I recently did a tranny service on a neon (Sweet!!), put the rubber gasket in that came with the filter, next morning there was a lake of tranny fluid under it. Pulled the pan again, tossed the gasket, ran a bead of the GIGM around it, let it sit about ten minutes to skin over, put it together and never had another problem.
