yeah i think you have the function of cam gears a little distorted. cam gears are slotted with set screws so you can degree them positively or negatively to advance or retard your cam timing. they wont give you more power, but they will change where in the rpm range your power may kick in. well, i suppose maybe a fraction of power, but thats beside the point. does the timing belt on the 4afe slip over one cam gear or two? cause if the belt is just driving one cam gear then the one cam is being driven off of the other by a gear inside the head. so really you could only put one adjustable cam gear on there and it wouldnt really do anything. you could just dial them in differently and it would perform the same function. and where are you getting these gears for 10bucks???
