I live by that motto and I do it within my budget. If you can't afford to blow it up again and again, build it to where it is fast enough to where it doesnt break itself. However, I did pick fast and cheap simply due to the massive amount of information that is out there nowadays. It is possible to let everyone else make their mistakes, learn and build it right so that you can have a car built properly to your budget that is fast and cheap. The most expensive thing you can do is go too big and injure a bunch of expensive parts rendering you without a car for a long time.
