Default Strange leak.

My 82 Mustang went from about ready to have exhaust put on it to a fully undriveable 3,200 lb pile of neatly shaped metal. It's battery is dead, (beside the point now), and it's leaking coolant and transmission fluid. My question regards the transmission fluid leak. I was moving the car from one spot in the driveway to the other when I heard a clicking noise. One that sounded like it was timed proportionally to the rotation of the wheels. After moving the car I found a neatly little trail of transmission fluid leading from the spot it was, to where it was now. The funny thing is, it only leaked when I moved the car, and only leaked when I moved it backwards. When I pushed it forward up the driveway again, no leak. I'm wondering if anyone knows what's up, or can give any hints. The conditions were that the car was off at the time, in neutral, clutch not depressed, and moving backwards when it leaked. (I had to push the car as the battery is completely dead). Help?
