Everything was done according to CP's spec sheet that was included with the pistons... From piston to wall clearance, to ring gap, even the positioning of the rings...
Engine lab had the sheet when they bored/honed the bottom end, and they bored according to CPs specs, then honed it out for proper piston to wall clearance...
Guess its just the way it looks in the pic
