I don't know, price might sound a little high at first, but you don't know for sure what the price includes nor what year motor he's going to install. I'm just saying, you should know what's included before you knock on his price. Even if his price is a little high, you're paying a little more for work that is "not average".
wow, nice post... to shit on.
i do know whats invloved, and there is a huge gap between price from most places, and price from colin. i never knocked him as a builder, or as a mechanic, because i know noone really can. his price is a little more than a little high. The highest install/wiring job price I've ever seen was 550 for install with basic vtec wiring, or 100-200 for wiring, a far cry from '6-750 + 100-300'. A skunk2 chip can be had for 25 bucks or less... whoever charges more than 25 bucks for soldering on a chip, while making all that additional money on wiring and install... is rediculous.
on top of this, im pretty sure the honda folks that know what theyre talking about that agreed with me arent stupid, especially when one of them had a motor swap done by colin; and it doesnt take a genius to pay attention to pricing averages and recognize a gaping difference.
