The turbo and manifold come off as one assembly. You really need to remove the O2 housing to get it out. Removing the turbo inlet will allow you to get to the oil and water lines easier. The water line on the back of the block sucks. Use WD-40 to get it to slide on and off easier. You may have to remove the oil separator (black can on the back of the block) and unbolt the dipstick tube. There are 2 nuts on the manifold that are located below the runners, in the middle. I've found that a 14mm/12mm extended double box end 12-pt wrench from Craftsman to do the trick. Finally, the manifold and turbo are kinda heavy.
