OEM gets my vote. Not knocking the aftermarket ignitions, they have some perks

But, IMO, they are a luxury item and the money could be better spent elsewhere. And with an SOHC, you just want to get to the point because most likely the build is budget oriented. Probably always a good idea to keep up with a good working distibutor and well kept plugs. Depending on the milage of your motor, new OEM wires might do some good. I need to take my own advice
