Pads and/or rotors won't make the car stop faster, but they will fight brake fade. Look for something that has a higher operating temp. Not sure if Hawk makes pads for your app, but reading about their line-up is educational.

Resistance to boiling usually increases with the higher numbered DOT fluid. If you grabbed any old bottle, it's probably DOT 3. Try a name branded 4 or 5.
