Edit* Your 2000 protege has, a 1.6L engine code ZM-DE or a 1.8L engine code FP-DE I think....I really don't know any thing about your engine or how strong or weak it may be.Here is a little 1.6L that I found that is making some respectable number's if that is what you have then, that would make for one hell of a fun car ->
