I never really hear of the TCU's going out.. so your best bet is to just find a used tranny, and if you have a problem I can find you one. I know a lot of people with wrecked cars and they sell them for cheap.
Yea, they did tell me it was the TCU? However, I wasn't really sure what that was. I know it is behind the glove box, but that was about it. To be honest though, I don't really feel that is the problem. The transmission is just lazy, but I don't know if that is electrical or not? If you put it in reverse, it takes a second or two before you feel it go in gear. It does seem to get worse, the hotter it gets. By that I mean, the more stop and go traffic you are in, the more it slips 4th gear. Does that sound at all like something the TCU would cause?

If you happen to come across a wrecked car that had a good trany, please PM me. I would be happy to talk about it and see what we can come up with.

Thanks again,
Brett
