If you are looking to build a road race car, I would post the question in the SF road race/autox forum. You won't get stupid answers and big egos there, it is a very mature and knowledgeable crowd there.
In my opinion, I say set it up for road racing! Small turbo and big brakes would be nice. Add a good set of coilovers, racing alignment, and some CCWs w/race rubber and you would have one seriously fast track car.
