Wingnut's friend is right. It looks like the pilot didn't realize the crosswind was so strong (or it gusted), went off course, corrected, and made a landing without incident. Unless 747 procedures are significantly strange to smaller airplanes, landing was a HUGE mistake. A go-around should have been performed. Look how close the outboard engine comes to the runway. Also, the plane landed on a portion of runway that was not designed to be landed on.
