Hi,

I recently acquired a 92 S13. The engine turns but will not start. The previous owner said it over-heated and then stopped running while he was on the highway. No further details were provided. There appears to be some oil on the back of the motor and I'm going to do a compression test this weekend.

Over the years, I have done simple things (water pumps, alternators, timing belts, etc..,) but I'm a bit new at diagnosing this sort of issue. I was going to start by checking the plugs and try looking for water in the oil.

I'm thinking may be a warped head, but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions (or steps) on the best way to diagnose this type of malfunction.
