JYWY Scott. I will say, for arguements sake, that it takes about as much $ for a good carb setup as well. Yeah, you save a few $ for the intake itself, but a high-end carb, regulator, fuel pump and lines can really break the bank.

OTOH - Wonder if you could hook up a crank trigger and use stock EEC-IV electronics (rewire injector harness for correct injector pattern). Of course, you would have to mod the intake like a spider intake, but then you could use conventional (older style) throttle body, injectors, mass air. Im sure it would need some kind of chip or tweecer, especially on the 5.4, but the 4.6 would probably start right up.
