11:1? Knock sensor? WTF!?
Our knock sensor cuts out at WOT and/or 4k rpm. Or something like that, so a KA can't use a knock sensor to tune. Basically, to find the limits of your fuel setup, you use the BSFC, which we already know on a KA by heart. 370cc = 270hp, 525cc (50#) = 350-360hp, ect. Then make sure you're in the 12:1 area. I don't know about setting timing though. Most tuners have done it long enough they can hear and feel which way the timing needs to go, and it's done in small increments. Like a Ford 302, advancing/retarding timing 2* from perfect (42*) yields a 15hp loss.
