Bill, S30 1970- 1978 240 260 280z 's actually have struts in the rear as well as the front..

280zx and 300zx z31 had semi trailing arm.

cronic, you need the ajdustable rear suspension so you can deal with wheelhop with different tire setups and to deal witht he stiffer spring rate.

tokico blues are junk for the back of s130/z31..

you could always put a 240SX rear subframe in the back of a Z31 and run the man setup! That's what my friend Ryan did in Oklahoma! i'll try and post some pics when I'm on my home computer tonight.

He built a bracket to bolt the 240sx rear crossmember, and to also bolt to the chassis of the Z31.. From there, he ran the 240sx OE components witha 300ZX Z32 limited slip, and a custom driveshaft.. The setup is rediculous, now he fits 10.5" wheels in the rear, and the track is about 30mm wider... perfectly flush!!

You should do that.... if you have the time / resources. it will be the cheapest way to REALLY make the car handle and respond well. You'll still be looking at at least 15 hours of labor probably closer to 25-30 to make it right.
