It's a 91 honda accord, I'm not sure if my fuel pump is still good or not, I think the problem might be in the wiring since I had to remove an aftermarket alarm in the process of fixing it. I pulled a fuel pump from a junkyard and connected it to the harness in the trunk. However, with the key in the On position and while attempting to start, I can't get the pump to activate. I've even tried connecting it directly to the battery and nothing happened but sparks. My questions are:

1. Is there a way to hotwire the fuel pump in my tank to test it?

2. Are there any other honda fuel pumps that work with my car?

3. Any tips on dropping my tank and installation of the pump
