There's a guy that runs NHRA Stock class with a 305 TPI camaro. Remember, these cars can't have any port work, stock lift cams (crazy duration though) and pretty minor mods. His car goes low 11's and does crazy wheelstands at the launch. Granted its an expensive race only car, I just don't want it to seem like fast 305's don't exist.
That goes with any motor, It just how fast do you want to spend!, Give me enough money and I'll make anything fast

There a guy in Cali that made a NA 4.3 all alum. motor produce over 500hp, but it was also a 11k motor with insane high compression ration:o . I think everyone just mean the 350 is more practical/cheaper to build
