8-10 is right in the ballpark for what p.s.i. you can run on a stock turbo kit. like the drag kits wastegates are set for 8 from drag so you should be ok. just make sure you do some perventive matience bfore you do the kit I.E. new bearings seals thicker head gasket will help also. Basicly a nice rebuild wich will cost you around 300-500 depending on where you get the parts from and how far you go.
are you just recommending the rebuild before the turbo because of the fact that its an older motor or would you suggest that under situation. I have a 98 teg ls that I may be turboing in the next month or so....thanks!
