If you do end up going ls/vtec, all you will retain from your current build is: Ls block/rods/crank etc.
Using an ls tranny for an n/a application is a no no.
So baisically if I were you I would buy a shortblock & build it on the side, then purchase a tranny such as a ITR tranny & turn around & sell your complete ls swap etc....
i have a gs-r tranny, so i'm ok there i think.
