What is true? The story is, but that's it.
I already called him and talked to him, but this seems to keep going, and perpetuating bullshit, so I'll intervene.
Miranda Rights. Only necessary if they intend to question you, or ask questions during the ride that may incriminate yourself. The latter doesn't generally happen, but it's the rage on TV shows to Mirandize then interrogate on the way to "downtown". No ace in the hole, nothing there.
Secondly, it's you guys, admitted drifters, ect. versus a federal employee, and the guy in charge of the mail in Englewood, who has nothing to hide or lose or gain. Who will be more credible?
Third isn't not traffic fines and a slap on the wrist. He's being charged with a fellony. Fellony and misdemeanor are separated not by the crime itself, but by the punishment. Misdemeanor is less than $1,000 fine and/or less than 365 days in jail. A felony is greater than $1k fine and/or more than 1 year in jail. Federal offence is doing that time in prison, not Punta Gorda jailhouse.
