I wouldn't say that. The Ford 2.3 guys LOVE that turbo, and many run up to 25psi with it.
Taylor, I wouldn't go with that big of a turbo for 300ish RWHP. A stock T3 can do that (not efficiently but who cares) for much cheaper and much less lag. I have a 60-1/stage 3 setup on the Mustang, and I don't get ANY boost until 3k rpm. Full boost about 3500rpm. For a reletively low revving truck motor, that's not gonna make for a very big powerband (trust me, I know this from experience, the cam I'm running is done at 5k).
I'd do like Mattback said and do a T28, or a stock T3 (or maybe a stock T3 turbine with an H3 wheel in the stock housing).
