consider there may be a person in a federal building at ALL times ?don't you think that our mail is not only sorted 24/7
but it's protected? Although we know now that he gave permission to you .....think of the post master's position
it's easier to deny than confirm .....right ? it not that you had permission but it was only verbal and was denied by other party.
have you ever hungout at a store or plaza where we had permission to "park & hangout" by SEVERAL of the owners/managers........and were asked to leave .....
police pressure ...in this case the postmaster chose sides
look for other avenues for defence ...such as altering
or just deny the "activity" you were performing and imply that
the parking lot is a common meeting ground for carz and not
just your friends either. how hard would it be to suggest that...
those marks could have been made over years of donuts and burnouts .the cop only witnessed "illegal exibition" which is the
same as a burnout or display in traffic.....?right ?
GOOD LUCK
TO MEGA THERION
Sorry to break it to you, but the Government has better things to do than to watch that fruit cake you're mailing to your Grandma. There might be a rent-a-cop that swings by every few hours, but no federal officer stays at the post office all night.
Also those cops can't arrest you for that, i can only think of tickets, and fines for doing that. Look up the statute he was charged with online, and find the loop holes...get a lawyer, explain to him all your points of view, and you'll get off with court fee's. The complete rediculousness of drifting in a post office parking lot is masked by the rediculousness of the officers present. Some cops are cool, some cops are dicks...looks like you got the greater of two evils this time.
