1994 SE-R, HotShot aftermarket header, one bolt missing, exhaust leak, smell of unburnt gas.

As you just read, I have/had an exhaust leak due to a missing bolt on my header. I'm literally working on it right now, and I put a new bolt in there and sealed it up. I started the car, revved it up a couple times, it kinda backfired a little at the same spot but I'm not worried about that. I'm more concerned about the fact that I smell unburnt gasoline, advice please...

P.S- I'm getting a copper gasket from HotShot in a couple days and replacing all the nuts and bolts to go with it, if that helps.
