don't worry bout over boostin cause i had my controller set a bit hi and the needle flew to 15lbs when i floored it and some valve opened (the one next to the bov) and the boost went to 5, so i guess vw was smart and put some saftey thing on there so i dosent blow.
That's called soft limp and it's not a good thing. Kyle's right, go with a chip you'll get more power and it's also a much more reliable solution.
