since they provided the bike they could have simply filled it up w/ very little gas or set a rev limiter on it so that he wouldn't get anywhere, at least that would save a nice bike and car
Possibly, but the guy had a grenade and the hostages still with him before he rode off on the bike, and it looked like he checked everything.
Wasn't the bike and car worth it for our entertainment?
