If you are swapping it for the specific purpose of being a daily driver, do yourself a huge favor and keep the turbo on the smallish side. It will make for a far more fun car with torque than a top end monstor that pulls like a yugo down low.
Any car can be reliable if attention to detail is paid on the swap. Locktite all the bolts, make sure the wiring is in good shape (soldered connections), and as has been mentioned, a good radiator and fan. As has been mentioned, you aren't reinventing the wheel, just putting a stock motor from another country into your car.
