Any car can be reliable if attention to detail is paid on the swap. Locktite all the bolts, make sure the wiring is in good shape (soldered connections), and as has been mentioned, a good radiator and fan. As has been mentioned, you aren't reinventing the wheel, just putting a stock motor from another country into your car.
+1........That about sums it up... hardly a problem with mine over the last 3-4 years...
