fyi...i never said the supra smic would do 400hp, not to mention 400hp on a dsm. jordan said it would do 500hp (if only for 1 run) on a supra. the only claim i made is that it is cheap, and i posted Zirc's TB temps from tbdsm...which I assume are legitimate (why would he lie???).

to tell you the truth, i don't give a crap what this guy or anyone else runs. i don't think anyone here would argue that a supra smic is better than a decent sized fmic...but i've met this guy...and i don't think he's going to a place where he's going to benefit from the fmic. i'm just saying that a supra smic is probably the 'right size' for this guy's setup and budget.

just an fyi... here is a guy running a 12.1 (i was being conservative with high 12s/low 13s) on a supra smic...and even this post notes that there are people out there running 11s on both stock sidemounts and supra smics.

i am one of the biggest proponents of "mod right, mod once" but i just doubt if this guy is going to mod far enough to require a fmic. he doesn't even have any fuel mods at this point. I think the fmic is the most overdone mod on dsms. my opinion is that a fmic is not necessary for all applications. if i only had a dime for everytime i've met a slow dsm with a fmic present company excluded...of course

i should also add that I too have heard bad things about the dejon smic and wouldn't recommend it to anyone
