is it becasue you do not like other forms of motorsports, you can not affford other forms of racing,or your car is not capable enough to do other things?
seems like this would get old since there are no lap times for you to improve on because it is all juding right?
well i dont know if it was just a cheap shot at the drift cars or what...
well anywho, i agree with a lot of points that were made so far, especially with charles and his % break down. shin 180 put it the best when he said, "drag racing is for fast cars, but corners are for fast drivers." if you think about it, in a straight line, the car drives you. when you are at a auto x, track course, or drifting you need to drive the car.
if you gave a professional golfer a set of decent clubs to compete against an amateur(amateurs having top of the line clubs), the pro would still win.
if you gave professional track runner a pair of decent track shoes to compete against amateurs (the amateurs having top of the line track shoes), the pro track runner would still win.
if you gave a professional drag racer a decent car to race an amateur with an exceptional car, there is no way that the drag racer could win. the drag racer is held back by his car.
if you were to give Nobuteru Taniguch (driver of s15 HKS Hyper Silvia) any car, he would be able to out drift any amateur in any track any time of the year. this is also true with any track course driver being able to out drive any drag strip driver. all track drivers can go in straight lines, but not all drag strip drivers can take corners at fast speeds.
what is the point of having a 1000hp track car if you cant drive it around the corner to buy some milk? what is the point of have so much horse power if you cant control it?
