The reason I went with a new car is never having to worry about it. For 7yrs/100k miles I'm taken care of...no major costs out of my pocket. Heck, I even get lifetime tires on the car. This is a car I can just drive and not have have the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that if something were to break...I'm fucked. Insurance on the xB was actually cheaper than a 10+ year old Civic.

I'm realizing now purchasing the SVO was a bad idea for this stage in my life. While overall it is a good car, it just requires way too much time/attention/money than I can give right now. I'd actually rather see it in a good home where I know it won't be neglected...because I know I will neglect that car. Trying to avoid turning it into the typical SVO you see in the Autotrader (a rusted out shitbox that hasn't been driven in years). That car is too good to just sit idle on my driveway.
