For several different reasons...its time to pull the motor and have it refreshed. I was going to make it a 408 ci motor...but the cost is not worth it when I can just refresh mine for a fraction of the cost. I figure that $2000 would be better spent on an awesome set of heads (I already have the 6.0 cores).
I figure with the same 383 ci and some whoopass heads I can make 500 rwhp all motor and run mid to high tens. Then spray the 300 shot for mid 9s.
Sucks that I never got to make a pass at 700 hp but the crank end play is getting bad. So bad infact that when spraying it seems to be walking away from the crank position sensor cutting out ignition on occasion. Car still purrs like kitten on motor though.
So..while all critical innards are intact...Im gonna redo the bottom end. Cant wait to get started.
