What do you consider "running lean' I was running 17 on the lean scale,and never had popping or backfires,The ony backfires I would get it letting the RPM coast down from a 8k rev.

Levi,most people who runs Holleys do NOT use the vacume advances,its pulled out and locked down,BUT the distribitor should be welded down cause it wil still advance at higher RMPs.
