It the air filter a K&N type (oiled filter)? Do you have a MAF? We have the same problem if we oil the filter too much. A fine layer of oil will cover the MAF wires and mess it all up. Youll need to clean the MAF to get the oil off.
That's the thing...the light came off after I had removed the filter, and before putting it back, so there was no oil at the time. If it had turned on after installing the filter, I would agree. However, I feel like cleaning the MAF anyway...it seems like the only thing because I know the engine is fine. Since I have never cleaned it before, can you tell me a good and safe way to do it (I need no more problems)
I don't see it as a serious problem, but I want that light OFF.
