Kind of off topic, but how many drift tickets have people received/payed up/gotten out of? My count is 1, I payed up, took the (internet) class, and started being way less careless
Hehe. I know you guys don't think of me as a drifter. (and I'm not at present) But I was young once, too. When I was about 18, I had a '76 Capri (not the Fox chassis, the one imported from Germany) that had a hot V8 swap (BOP 215 if ya know what that is) and got me into lots of trouble. In addition to at least 3 speeding tickets in that car, my "drifting" ticket was picked up as I came off of a side street onto Kennedy Blvd in Tampa. Very light traffic, I had a left-turn arrow, and I got happily sideways making the turn. Didn't think ANYTHING of it until I saw the lights in my mirror. Me with my "if you don't like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk" and "How's my driving? Dial 1-800-EAT-SHIT" stickers in the back window, the first question the cop asked was "do you always drive that way?" Noooooo.
Wreckless driving was the charge.
That, my friends, was 1986. Nobody had heard of organized drifting (not many had even heard of autocross), but we still did the same stupid shit on the street.
