The design and enginuity of today's pushrod motors are FAR from those of the 50's as you can imagine. The LT1 and LS1 engine's are capable of 30+mpg on the highway and around 20 in the city, which is an impressive amount of mpg. They make great power and are very tuneable ... "if it ain't broke don't fix it."
