Ok,
My car has a wierd smell like oil mixed with gas, when I shift in high RPM's.
also When I rev hard black smut comes out my exhaust.

I saw an old friend yesterday and he was saying I was probably running "rich"?

Oil mixes with gas causing me to run rich
wich is caused by bad rings?

I was told I should get a compression test done.

my question is, does all this info seem about right?
and how can I do a compression test? is it something I can do?
or do I need to take it somewhere?
