just because you feathered it from your "power range" doesnt mean you were doing anything better necesarily..
your just keeping the rpms up and slipping the clutch, which i think is the best technique for launching, unless you got the suspension, and tires to hook and know right where the clutch will slip itself so you dont bog.
i havent gotten to drive a 6spd LT1, but i did drive a 240sx and was cutting 2.0 and 1.9 short times on low profile tires and some insane camber. i was just feathering the clutch from like 4k.
