Yup 3rd gens kick butt! My 89 RS had 109k miles when I started drifting it. Cant believe how much abuse that car took and kept going. I would literally drive it like I wanted it to die and it kept going. Around 122k miles I decided I needed alot more power, so the car has been down since then. Currently I'm drifting the IROC in my signature. The only mods done on that car (116k mile car) is an aftermarket panhard bar, the $300 racecar paintjob, and a steering wheel. Stock is definately good enough to drift with!!

On a side note, believe it or not, I have drifted a SVO Mustang. It was a 85 with unknown miles (no interior). I got it for $1500 with the intent of making it a drift car. I didnt like the snap back oversteer, so I eventually went back to the Camaro. But I have to say, the SVO was probably the best stock roadracing oriented car I've ever owned, and would make an unreal drift car with the right suspension tweaks (I didnt give it enogh time to grow on me IMO).

Happy drifting!
