yea if the car is moving it really doesn't need the fan to stay cool. i drove from tampa to cocoa and the only time the car went into hotness was when i was stopped for a toll.
so i'd go with the water pump or a big hole in the block.
don't drive to much longer if it is the water pump.
also have you looked on the bottom of your oil pan, when the water pump leaks out the seap hole it collects at the bottom on your oil pan and leaves a nice pink type stain.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
