the first mod to any MK3 should be an HKS 2.0 stopper and ARP 220 KPSI head studs... before you do ANYTHING else. i tried a stock-ish HG and ARP bolts and that didnt do the trick. trying to take the easy way out never works.
but did u do arp head bolts on the stock hg?? I think it would work fine if i get the head resurfaced...
