Alrighty. So I purchased one of those fancy pants Nordskog digital fuel pressure gauges. The sending unit has a 1/8" fitting which is not compatable with the schrader valve on the fuel rail. After Dave's suggestion, I purchased one of the Autometer fittings which replaces the Schrader valve with a supposedly 1/8" female fitting. Well....it isn't a 1/8" fitting, or at least a 1/8" fitting won't thread more than 2 turns into it.
So now what? Does anyone know what size fitting can be threaded over the stock Schrader valve? What I am thinking of doing is removing the pin, effectively allowing fuel to flow freely through the valve. So if I can find something to thread over the Schrader valve, and allow a 1/8" fitting to screw onto it...I think I may be set.
This weekend I will probably remove the entire valve and head over to Home Depot in hopes I can find some sort of a match. I'm really asking this question in hopes someone has done this before so I can possibly avoid farting around for hours on end looking for the infamous needle in a haystack.
Gracias.
