Those cars still will kick the shit out of an N/A Supra and they make peak TQ at something like 6500 RPM's.
Putting a Cobra up against an N/A Supra is like racing a Cobra against a V6 Mustang. They aren't even in the same category, power wise, so of course the Cobra will kick the shit out of an N/A Supra. If the Supra were turboed or TT, the Supra will pull ahead.
The quality of the import is going to be a lot better, also.
