Im going to try and break this down since Im a bit drunk..
Question #1: Would this (nitrous) be a good idea on an LS/VTEC?
Answer: It's all about tuning and how the motor was built. Since you've stated that you know it's going to cost a good amount of money, and LS/VTEC makes awesome power. Nitrous will add to the potency of this motor 10 fold. You will love it, and may not even wish to switch to boost. I suggest a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Since I love low end along with tunability.
Question #2: Is there anything on the engine I should replace.
Answer: That's hard to say. Make sure your engine has good compression as is (unless your going to do a rebuild anyway, which you should be doing.). Make sure the timing belt is all happy and new, etc... most of the things you will want to replace will be replaced when you go LS/VTEC. Pretty straight forward.
Question #3: You asked what's the difference between wet and dry shots.
Answer: Dry is JUST nitrous. Wet is nitrous and fuel both added at the same time, creating MUCH more power, and greater reliability. I suggest anything over a 50 shot be wet.
