Im actually not anti carb at all. For many many race applications a carb setup along with the wide aray of excellent manifolds that can be had make it very appealing. Look through Jegs and Summit and you will see carb after carb but I think more importantly...manifold after manifold that are designed to operate in the 4000-8000 rpm range and even higher. You dont see any EFI manifolds made that are in that area. Not sure why. Almost all EFI manifolds that operate decent in that high rpm range are custom setups...that many times...leave alot to be desired.
F.A.S.T. just came out with an EFI manifold for the LS1 based cars. So far it has shown almost 0 improvement over the stock LS6 manifold.
